Security is taken seriously by BT Openzone and protective measures are in place to make sure you receive a safe, reliable and robust service.

BT Openzone uses sophisticated 128-bit public key encryption during log-in to protect transfer of your data. Account traffic is encrypted and your account is password protected.

The security measures for BT Openzone
fall into three areas:

• your laptop/PDA's security
• authentication and account security
• protecting the integrity of the network

With any internet service, there's a balance between security and usability. BT Openzone uses state-of-the-art technology that is continually reviewed and updated to improve our quality of service.

Tip: for additional security, we suggest you install a firewall on your equipment. You can buy a firewall online as part of the BT Business Internet Security Pack, at
BT Shop or from your local computer store. Note however, that BT Openzone cannot support the configuration of firewalls and we suggest you contact your IT department or the vendor of your firewall.
