For additional security, we suggest you install a firewall on your equipment. You can buy a firewall online at BT Shop or from your local computer store such as PC World. Note however, that BT Openzone cannot support the configuration of firewalls and we suggest you contact your IT department or the vendor of your firewall.
If you're searching for hotspots on www.118500.com, select Online Services and look under 'Search by Business Type' using any of these keywords: BT Openzone; Openzone; Hotspot - copy one of these key words for use on the 118 500 site.
Save the number 81041 on your mobile phone for future reference - simply text your town or postcode to this number to find out your nearest hotspot. It's also worth considering saving your replies to this number, in case you're in the same area later!
When you're next online, download our PDF or Excel hotspot directories (handy for when you're offline later).
You don't necessarily need to be in a BT Openzone hotspot to use BT Openzone - you could just be in range. For example, you may be able to use BT Openzone in a café (which may not actually be a BT Openzone hotspot) because you can pick up the BT Openzone service from a nearby BT payphone. It may also be possible to get online in your car if, for example, you are at a McDonald's restaurant drive-through.
Please remember to log off and end your session when you've finished using the service at a hotspot. If you don't log off, you'll continue to be charged a further 15 minutes usage until the service automatically logs you off for no activity.
If you find your account becomes locked, call
